The Screamin' Eagle rollercoaster at Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka, Missouri

Speeding through the Eagle's 3,872 feet of track at speeds around sixty miles an hour you really don't get to appreciate how John Allen worked this coaster masterfully into the terrain until you have walked it.

The Eagle's first drop is just eighty-seven feet but the third drop due to the ride being built into the hilly topography is actually the largest.

That means that riders don't hit the Eagle's top speed until they reach the bottom of the third drop's ninety-two foot plunge.

Taking in the rough terrain and all the ups and downs that the Screamin' Eagle is built over we all got a ton of steps in and a decent workout.

Here is a nice example of how John Allen worked the Screamin' Eagle's design into the terrain.
