One Final Visit

A difference between this coaster and the nearby Flight of Fear is
Joker's Jinx doesn't run three trains, so the mid course brake was never
added to this coaster.
Needing to have an additional block brake to operate three trains Flight
of Fear stops the ride half the way through. Without the
mid-course brakes and nothing to slow the train, the second half of
Joker's is to put it lightly is absolutely insane.
Joker's Jinx sends you upside down four times while subjecting you to
4.5 g-forces as the train goes faster and faster. The final
inversion is a corkscrew that whips you upside down before popping you
up into the brake run.
Joker's Jinx was wickedly fun and is the best of Premier Rides catapult
launch models. The question is when Six Flags America is no more
what will happen to this coaster? It is either going to another
park in the chain or it'll ride on as spare parts for the other three
models that Six Flags owns.
Whistlestop Park was a new addition to Six Flags America when I visited
here last. Whistlestop Park was a themed area geared for very
little kids. With a junior sized train and four or five kids rides
it was a really nice addition to Six Flags America. One would
think that after putting money into building it Whistlestop Park would
still be up and running but no. Like several other rides around
the park it was closed, blocked by a wall, with the rides sitting partly
or completely disassembled.
