The out run is just a nice string of airtime filled hills and then
you get down under the canopy of trees and The Voyage isn't so nice.
The point where you cross the crest of the hill that The Voyage was
constructed over through the turnaround, and back until you hit the
brakes at the end of the ride The Voyage isn't smooth sailing. You
can either give yourself to the ride by putting your hands in the air
and screaming your head off or you better hold on for your life.
There is so much force going into The Voyage's finale that you kind of
understand how a coaster like the legendary
Harry
Traver designed Crystal Beach Cyclone ended up having a short life
span because the ride literally shook itself apart.
Holiday World certainly has always had a monster on their hands with
this coaster and I applaud them for keeping it running as well as it
still is.
Unfortunately the experience of ride crews not caring an ounce and
slowly loading trains was repeated during our time with The Voyage.
With each ride it was dawning on me that the Holiday World of the past
might really be in the past.
