On a positive note it was nice seeing the park start working on a replacement to the really dated Raging Rapids ride.



Holiday World, going back to the time when Paula Werne was their PR director, has always enjoyed slowly teasing new rides and that tradition has carried on.  Over the season they kept teasing that there would be a big addition to the Town of Boulder Canyon with a website, phone number to call for clues, and this tease.  If you don't know Boulder Canyon is the town that Raging Rapids went through.  After our visit Holiday World announced that they would be adding a Mack Rides designed water coaster called Cannonball.  This is an addition that I'm pretty happy about as they are fun rides and having a coaster themed to a town pool is really cute.



The boys wanted to go hit the water park for a bit so I ended up walking around the old playground as Holiday World was during my six years living here.



Liberty Launch is still one of my favorite S&S Double Shot towers.

On a side note did you know that the attraction that Liberty Launch replaced was the Hall of Famous Americans Wax Museum.  When I first started visiting Holiday World back in the 1990's that attraction was more than a little dated but it was always good to visit as it was air conditioned.



When Bond was little and not into coasters he used to love taking the Rough Riders (and me) for a spin.  Got quite a few beloved memories of him growing up all around Holiday World as this was quite literally his playground.
