Having Good Gra
vy's cars all look like gravy bowls is cute.

Good takes you for a quick spin around the VanSnoodle residence with
lots of twists and turns...

...until you head up a spike where gravity slows the train to a stop
before pulling you back down through the course in reverse.

While Good Gravy is cute and just what Holiday World needed to bridge
the thrill levels between the Howler up in Holidog's Funtown and the
rides four world class thrill machines it really seems off to me that
they went with such a low capacity ride.

Operating at max capacity with twenty seat trains and a ride cycle over
a minute with a crew operating at peak efficiency; something that
Holiday World did in the past this ride gets around six hundred to maybe
seven hundred riders per hour. Holiday World is a park that gets
slammed with people; especially on a summer weekend like when we
visited, and shockingly the crew didn't bust ass loading the train.
They just slowly meandered their way around in no hurry. During my
time watching they took anywhere from three to five minutes unloading
the trains on a coaster with a ride time a little over a minute which
means it was operating at two hundred to three hundred riders per hour.
On top of the low capacity due to a ride crew that gave off the attitude
that they couldn't care less we were a little shocked how long it took
Travis to finally get on as the ride operators kept putting riders with
a disability pass in his row over and over for four ride cycles.
When he asked why they kept putting guests where instead of spreading
them around to other seats so the guests waiting could ride the response
was a
"So, you'll get to ride".
This first experience back at a park that Bond and I have literally
visited hundreds of times was kind of shocking. As we walked up
towards Thunderbird we commented on how our experience at Good Gravy
must have been a fluke.
