The Fury 325 roller coaster at Carowinds Theme Park, Charlotte North & South Carolina

Fury is a L shaped out and back giga-coaster that reminds me a lot of Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland. After plummeting from the first drop Fury 325 sends you up into a turn that then has the rides course parallel the front of the park before turning around just like Leviathan does.

Fury 325 wraps over and under the walkways that take guests from the parking lot into Carowinds. I'm a huge fan of entwining any ride into guest walkways because having a coaster speed by above, below, and around you just helps make riders that much more excited to take it for a spin.

Plus, having a trainload of riders speed overhead screaming every few minutes absolutely adds to the atmosphere of a park.

With the second and third highest points on Fury 325's course being nowhere near as tall as the coasters starting point, at just one hundred and ninety and one hundred and fifty-seven feet tall, doing the math is it really easy to figure out that you will spend most of your time on Fury 325 at high speed.

With three trains that can each take thirty two riders, one thing that I really love about the hyper or giga-coasters that Bolliger & Mabillard make is that if there is a line you won't be standing still much as these coasters just devour guests.
