The Fury 325 roller coaster at Carowinds Theme Park, Charlotte North & South Carolina

After snaking its way towards Carowind's entrance walkway, Fury 325's trains rocket overhead and across state lines...

...too turnaround in South Carolina. As the ride and park cross the state line I was curious as to if the ride is inspected by one or both states that it exists in.

It turns out that there is an agreement between North and South Carolina that the oversight of any ride at Carowinds falls under the jurisdiction of the state where that rides station is located in. Since Fury's station is in North Carolina it is inspected by that state and as Thunder Striker's station sits in South Carolina they have jurisdiction over that ride.

Fury 325's turnaround is an overbanked horseshoe that ends with a plunge.

This dive has been dubbed the "hive dive" as it sends riders plunging into a themed tunnel under the parks entranceway.
