I love mine train coasters because they are just so much fun and Big
Thunder Mountain Railroad is the best of them all. It's got speed,
the best theming of any coaster and there are some wicked little pops of
airtime to give you plenty of thrill as you speed around the mountain.
Oh side note here. I normally don't post point of view shots on coasters
and rides here because most parks do not allow them. At Disney World
I saw no signs about banning on ride photography and after spending several
days watching people riding with their cell phones out to take pictures
while on ride I got on with my camera (with a strap to keep it attached
firmly to my hand unlike cell phone cameras) out, lens uncovered and on
and no one said a word that it was not allowed so I took pictures.

Oh, another thing that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has are tunnels, tunnels
and more tunnels that all add to the ride.

The town of Tumbleweed was where the Big Thunder's Miners used to go for
a drink, hot bath or some dry goods but at some point a flash flood inundated
the town and mine turning the boom town into a big ole' bust.

Coasters in January...here is a happy and content Bond.

I had so many great photos of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad it was hard
to sift through them all and narrow them down. So click next below
as I have one more page of Big Thunder goodness for you before we move on
to the rest of The Magic Kingdom.
