Wildfire always gives a fantastic ride and gives an amazing view of
Indian Point, Table Rock Lake, and the surrounding landscape.
The best way to ride Wildfire is to stick your legs out and put your
arms in the air and just fly.
With Wildfire's station on the top of the hillside and with most of the
ride downhill it is one of the most picturesque coasters.
It is hard to get a bad photo when you are standing on a platform right
next to this. One thing I wish Silver Dollar City would to is to
put a few rocking chairs up here as it would be a wonderful place to
have a sit and just enjoy the view.
One of my favorite kind of hidden theming elements at Silver Dollar City
is over at Powder Keg. This coaster began its life as a half log
flume, half rollercoaster called Buzzsaw Falls that was built by Premier
Rides back in 1999. Unfortunately a hybrid log flume/coaster
really didn't thrill guests so the log flume part was scrapped and some
of the coaster was kept and Powder Keg was created. It's cool that
one of Buzzsaw Falls boats was kept for a little theming.
