Carowinds Theme Park straddles the border of North and South Carolina in Charlotte. It opened in 1973 and over the years has been a part of the Carowinds Corporation, Taft Broadcasting, Kings Entertainment, Paramount Parks, Cedar Fair, and Six Flags. Over the years the park has grown with rides like Thunder Striker, Copperhead Strike, Afterburn, Carolina Goldrusher, Carolina Cyclone, Ricochet, The Flying Cobras, Hurler, Kiddy Hawk, Woodstock's Express, Wilderness Run, Snoopy's Racing Railway, and the aazing Fury 325.
