Next we found ourselves in Carowinds County Fair themed section.
With ten different themed areas in the park it seems like after every
other ride we were somewhere new.
The Flying Cobras is where our trip went sour on our last visit to
Carowinds as this was where ten year old Bond was hit with heat
exhaustion and we had to head to first aid. As a result of Bond
getting sick this is the coaster that we missed on that trip. As
for Vekoma Boomerangs go, the Flying Cobras is ok. The vests
instead of over the shoulder restraints certainly make it easier to
ride.
Moving from The Flying Cobras to a coaster that I was really looking
forward to riding: Copperhead Strike.
Copperhead Strike is a multi launched looping coaster by Mack Rides that
happens to be themed to a nice visit to your Granny's farmhouse where
you discover Granny's moonshine still and have to flee.
Unfortunately, for Fury 325 and Copperhead Strike you have to purchase a
locker for any loose items so we took turns watching bags as we looped
Copperhead Strike. Not a fan of money grabs like this from parks.
Have a Six Flags day I guess.
