Now I don't know if the story about someone dying due to hitting the back of the splashdown pool from coming down the speed slide is true or another urban legend but after walking up to the top I can see how you'd get some serious speed coming down this.

The speed slide is quite a bit higher up the hill than the other two slides.

Here's the path from the splashdown pool at the top of the hill.

From the looks of it other than being a Mecca for local skateboarders the only thing that Wet Willy's is used for is a site for a cell phone tower that is located at the back of the parking lot.

It's sad that Wet Willy's isn't a place where kids can go for a few hours of fun in the summer time but at least it hasn't been paved over. Nature is taking it back like it does with everything that has been left by the wayside.
