There's a new coaster at Six Flags St. Louis this year.  No I'm not talking about the Boss here as taken from the employee parking lot.

The new coaster that I'm talking about is Tony Hawk's Big Spin.

There's not a whole lot of buzz surrounding this coaster in the enthusiast community.  For example the week before Tony Hawk's Big Spin opened Greg and I were at the media day for Mystery Mine at Dollywood.  In conversation mentioned that we'd be getting two new Gerstlauer coasters under out belts in two weeks and several enthusiasts had no clue that there was one coming to Six Flags St. Louis.

Tony Hawk's Big Spin might not have the buzz out there but hey it's not every day or year that a park gets a new coaster so in my book that's something to get excited about.  The entrance to Tony Hawk's Big Spin has a "jumbotron" over it and word is that Six Flags St. Louis would like to show the Cardinals games on it when they're playing.

Back to the coaster Tony Hawk's Big Spin is a production model spinning coaster from Gerstlauer with some tricked out cars to go with the Tony Hawk skateboarding theme that Six Flags has chosen to give it.  I'm not sure how skateboarding fits into the Britannia themed part of Six Flags St. Louis but who cares, it's a new coaster.
