Unfortunately though Six Flags St. Louis hasn't cared for this ride and is letting it get slowly destroyed.

I know they took a couple of horses off to be restored this last year like this one but you don't just have eyes gouged out of them in a day. These horses have been uncared for since the eighties so it's going to cost a lot to bring them back.

The damage goes from worn off paint, graffiti...

...to the horses eyes being gouged out. This is a shame. Classic carousels are a work of art like a Rembrandt and to let it be destroyed like this is sad. I know it is going to cost a lot but the Grand Ole Carousel needs to be restored or at the least removed until it is to keep it from being damaged any further.
