The Applause Fountain is always a nice and calm place at night.



Of course we are not at Holiday World well after closing for a calm night.  We were there to ride.  With four coasters there to take care of a few hundred coaster enthusiasts as you can see in The Raven's station we much more riding than waiting.  A great thing about Holiday World even during normal operating hours is if no one is in the line for your seat you can just stay and ride again.  I think we had ten rides on The Raven speeding through the pitch black woods before we had to get off.



For the first night Thunderbird was not entirely dark as the park kept Thunderbirds wing tip lights on for the ride session.



Night time Thunderbird is quite a different bird than it is under the light of the sun.  With a rumble and a flash of lightning you are shot out into the dark,



With Thunderbirds wingtip lights on I had to stop riding for a little bit in order to play around with my cameras for a little bit.  This photo and the next are several images stitched together to show Thunderbird streaking through the night.
