Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Santa Claus, Indiana
2005 Construction

2004 was not a good year for
Holiday World & Splashin' Safari with water. In addition to
the flooding there was an issue with water from the city where there
was no pressure as well as having a boil order. As a safeguard
to keep another occurrence like that from happening Holiday World is
building it's own water tower (the existing one is owned by a cooperative
of several local towns) where an emergency supply of water will be kept
for the park. One thing that Holiday World & Splashin' Safari
does that not many businesses do is that when a problem occurs no matter
how freakish it may be they put plans in action to make sure that should
the occurrence happen again it's not going to affect them as much if
at all.
It was so warm today that for
the first time in months I wasn't getting weird looks from the locals
for being outside in shorts. It would have been perfect weather
for a ride on the Legend...
...or the Raven but while it's
70 and sunny today tomorrow it's going to be rainy and back in the lower
40's.
It looks like in a short time the
coaster season will be upon us. Better start budgeting for your
season passes.
