What's in planning, what's being built now, what's rumored.

Six Flags operating Frontier City and Darien Lake again

Post by Vonni » Wed May 23, 2018 11:36 pm

So what do you all think about the recent news that SF will be operating Frontier City and Darien Lake again? Personally, I'm on board. SF is a different company now than it was when they previously owned the parks. I could see some appropriate growth coming for both of the parks. I also think that in a year or two SF will officially own them again rather than leasing them as they are now.

Disclaimer: I know there are several water parks involved in this leasing deal as well. But, what can you really say about a water park lol! My focus is on the two theme parks.

I am curious why Magic Springs wasn't part of the mix. I mean SF wanted to have parks near each other so they can use as a reason to sell more season passes. Magic Springs and SFStL would be a nice pair.

I was thinking the same thing Paul. Magic Springs could really use a company that would invest in it. I know it would only be minor investments, but still more than what it currently receives.

Magic Springs needs a ride like Monster at Adventureland...nothing too big but something to really grab attention.

Exactly. Or even another Tantrum/Iron Shark clone would do wonders.

Yes it needs something to add to the mix at that park.
