There's only a couple people from this site that are on my Facebook, so I thought I'd let you know here.
My dad passed away at about 6:15 AM Sunday in the hospice unit of the Dayton VA. He had been moved there in mid-August or so after being re-admitted to the VA at the end of July. Prior to that, he had been in the VA for about 7 weeks (It may have been 7 weeks exactly) from mid-May until mid-July, with a chest tube until the last week or so. He was able to spend about two weeks at home in July before being re-admitted.
It's been a tough week. Been trying to keep as normal of a rhythm as I can. Helped my mom out with proofreading and technical assistance on the obit, the final copy of which was submitted to the newspaper tonight after I got the photo scanned. Tonight was the toughest day I'd had since Sunday, with helping get the obit finished.
Looking forward to a better day tomorrow after a night of sleep, and going to KI Haunt which will be a great help in getting back into my normal rhythm.
