I woke up in Chicago this morning and drove home to St. Louis, but had to stop at SFSTL before heading home. There was a gap of about 4 hrs between major storm systems and I was one of about 100 people to head for the park. I've never seen it so empty. Needless to say, I rode every coaster in the park multiple times without getting off. I also experienced my first Zen ride.
The Screamin' Eagle has received some major retracking and needs to be broken in a bit. The new braking system is nice and there's no longer a jolting stop at the end. Once I had a nice headache from all the Gs, I left and came home just in time to enjoy a ferocious thunder storm.
