Quick Mystery Mine Report

Last night, my wife and I checked out Mystery Mine at Dollywood. Don't worry, no spoilers from me...

The ride is great! It's a great combination of dark ride and coaster. Really a great fit for Dollywood. The themeing really shines. The level of detail is close to what you'd expect from Disney or Universal.

The outdoor coaster parts (which are clearly visible outside the ride) are excellent. The two inversions really flow nicely together and are a lot of fun. The queue sets up the ride nicely. If you have to wait, that's cool because you have more time to investigate the strange going on at the abandoned mine.

Right from the get go, the ride is off to a flying start. No waiting around for a lift, you get right into the action and plot of the ride.

OK, I'm just gushing. I need some time to bond with the ride a little more. I also need to get some more pictures of it. I was too busy trying to get on it to take any.

Wow, this is really like what we can all see at Disney Parks since it reminds me of the day as I rode on Big Thunder last year, which was really good journey! 8)

You know what keeps popping into my head? You don't care? Well, I am gonna tell you anyway! :wink: Last year when we were riding the Lumber jack lifts, (yes Brian and I rode the lumberjack lifts, even though the operator had trouble remembering what they were called) we looked over the fence and said, "That looks like a great place for a coaster!" Lo and behold, a coaster! hehe! Anyway, the theming on this thing just astounds me.
