SFStL Hannibarrels Photos Are Now Up

Post by Paul Drabek » Thu Jan 23, 2014 10:58 pm

Hey everyone;

During Daredevil Daze a few of us got to go up on the Hannibarrels platform to check out the ride before it was demolished. Dave swore us to not publish the photos online but he recently changed his mind so here are the photos of this long abando0ned ride.

The Hannibarrels at Six Flags St. Louis

Have fun!

Awesome! I am so glad Dave decided to let you post them. I've wanted to get a good view up there for so long now! I have to admit, the condition was actually a little worse than I expected. I'm sad to see a part of the History go, but, I am very very glad to see this long SBNO Ride finally removed and the area put to some good use. I bet that part of the Park is going to shine once the Tsunami Soaker addition is complete! Thanks for sharing Paul! I'm so glad I finally go to see what it looked like up there!

Were any of the Barrels still able to spin?

They moved a few inches but didn't rotate.

Nice pictures! I can't wait to see how Tsunami Soaker will look in the area.

I'm sure that part of the park will have a lot more life this spring when it gets warm.

Just wow. Those photos were cool! It is sad, in a way, but I am so glad that they are actually doing something with SFStL. The new Tsunami Soaker looks like a lot of fun! I hope to be able to check the park out (hopefully this year at DDD).

Could the Ride still worked without the 15 degree tilt, or would it not operate at all without that function?
