Well I have tried to add a transfer track (jeez it is a pain positioning that) and then when I go to add a storage track (add a vertex off of one of the transfer track nodes) No Limits 2 crashes. So I guess I'll leave the transfer track there for now and just get the ride finished.

I have yet to buy the full version, but I am using the demo. From what I see, we can no longer place the track where we want it, like in NL1. Does anybody else miss this?

I have no idea what you're talking about... what do you mean by "can no longer place the track where we want it"?

If you're talking about how the track moves around after you put it somewhere, that's just the nature of placing B-spline points rather than bezier points. It's a bit of a mental adjustment, but it ends up being a lot easier in the long run. Making a smooth track by hand is not only possible now, but fairly easy. Yay.

As for wanting certain things to just stay put no matter what, put down your point, double-click it, then click "locked" and it will stay there. If you want to keep it from adjusting the roll, put in a roll point, set it where you want, then click "strict."

One other thing I noticed: I was afraid I'd have to ditch my emulator and run NL2 via Boot Camp (which has the advantage of running natively and getting better performance, but has the disadvantage of needing to reboot into Windows to play NL2 then back into Mac OSX to do other things) because the demo ran like crap in the emulator. Riding a coaster was like watching a YouTube video on a dialup connection: play, freeze, play, freeze.

Luckily, the actual program runs GREAT on the emulator - not sure if PC folks experience the same thing. Maybe they really blew out the demo specs so nobody with a non-compatible computer would buy the game then want a refund, not sure. I just know that I'm really happy being able to run it in the virtual Windows arena and still having my familiar OSX interface and be able to multitask Mac stuff while working on a coaster.

If I were forced to boot into (and then actually use) that interface on Win8.1, I'd probably never play NL2. Holy crap, that's a terrible, terrible user experience.

Yeah that was what I was talking about, exactly. Thank you, I never would have thought about doing that.

Look up a guy named CodeMaster on YouTube. He's got several really good tutorial vids that are worth watching.
