No Limits 2 (NL2)

Post by EagleMan76 » Tue Nov 24, 2009 10:30 pm

I'll make this the official No Limits 2 discussion thread. Here we can post updates on news of the program. Express opinions, ask questions, etc. about the program here.

Here's a link to the official news page:
http://nolimitscoaster.de/news.html

Here's a link to a video of one of the new features, the Walk mode:

This is looking to be a very powerful program, as the latest news update announces a system for adding real, working transfer tracks.

Wow. That looks really cool. Any news on how much it will cost?

Probably $25-$35 like NL. It's still going to be some of the best money you ever put down for software just like NL1.

This time, will we be able to put more than one coaster in the park? I'm thinking Cyclone Racer here...

I'm not sure about the multiple tracks yet, but there's been another recent news release. I'll throw out the main points: There's going to be a real-time weather control panel, full 3d background editable in the built-in environment editor (as opposed to the 2d one in NL1.x), and track textures will be much improved from NL1.x to the point of no comparison. They have also made a tentative release date of late 2010, if everything goes as planned. This is shaping up to be one hell of a program!

I'm kind of staying away from NL until NL2 comes out as I'm sure I'll dive right into it building rides like nuts.

Looks like NL2 is 95% done, according to the latest update.

That's good news!

The bad news is that it'll probably be Windoze only for awhile, if previous releases are any indication.

Do I want this badly enough to buy a pc until the Mac version is released? Maybe, depending on the cost of the PC with proper specs.

Do I want this badly enough to install Windoze on my Mac? Urm... no.

The latest screen shots look AMAZING.

It's almost here!!!!!

It's finally going to happen... No Limits 2 is coming out in 2013 and it looks FANTASTIC.

Mac version happens next year.

I was seriously considering getting a used PC so I could play it until the Mac version comes out, but it looks like the necessary hardware is going to mean you need a pretty substantial investment if you don't already have a good machine.

Also: two versions, a standard release and a pro release (that gives you better pics and video).

That update looks sweet. I have said for years that No Limits was some of the best money I have ever spent on software and I totally plan on buying NL2 as soon as it comes out.

I just want to see some pictures of wood coasters with it.

Have fun!

This is going to be EPIC!

It will cost $49.99 for Standard, which means less options for videos and photos and such, and $99.99 for Professional, which will give you permissions and other options. It is in more depth on the newsletter.

Mac version won't be out until sometime in 2014.
I've waited this long, I can wait longer...

From the looks of it, I might need to upgrade the ol' iMac before then anyway.
