We got an interesting gift the other day. Carrie's parents dropped off a box of her Great Grandmother's collectable spoons. Carrie had a bit of a collection going and really enjoyed her Great Grandmothers collection when she was a kid. So the spoons were passed down to her.

In the box there were many interesting ones...states, Presidents, towns...and then a Six Flags Over Mid America spoon appeared.

It was interesting with the whole Thunderbird Native American motif for this.

I'm not sure if these were from Tampa Bay or Orlando because we have other nearby parks to both like...

...Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

And to round it all off is a spoon from something that was one of the worlds first themed attractions. It was where the Ferris Wheel was born. Walt Disney's father helped build and the tales of a magical "white city" around a lake inspired his son later in life. This spoon was from the Chicago Columbian Exposition of 1983.

With all of these spoons from all around it seems like Great Grandma Motley really got around...or knew quite a few people who were willing to feed her spoon collection.

Have Fun!

Those are so cool! I recently inherited my favorite coffee cup from my grandmother. I always was fascinated with it growing up because it was literally a half a cup of coffee. The cup was cut in half lol! Well, I never looked at the back of it due to the "look, don't touch" rule. It was from Six Flags Over Mid America! I never knew. So it was all the more special!

Some of those look incredible. Heck, most of them. Are you looking to restore them or something?

The ones that are all rusted no...there isn't much I can do with them. I'd like to get some tarnish remover on some of the silver ones...especially the Columbian Exposition one.
