Oz Cat falls
I'm not surprised that the Oz Cat has been demolished, but it's a shame. When it opened in 2003, GCI was coming into their own and they nailed a fun, airtime laden layout with this small, compact gem. Thanks for the fun rides.

Re: Oz Cat falls
I saw that and what really impressed me is how much abuse that structure took before it went down. It shows just how much flex wooden coasters have.
Still it is sad to see the Oz Cat and the "bam bam" go.

Re: Oz Cat falls
Such a shame. I never got to ride it. Celebration City was supposed to be part of the 2009 Coaster Con that included SDC and WoF, but they had to cut it out when they made the decision to close the park....so I got to the the coaster in person, but not ride it....
Re: Oz Cat falls
I really hope that a clone Ozcat's layout its purchased and installed at another park. Its perfect for a smaller park. When I graduated in 2005 my on ride photo from Ozcat was part of my pics for the class slide show.

I'm saddened by this. It looked great. I visited before and after the coaster was demolished. However this was last year so the park was obviously closed.
15 parks and counting!!!

I'm in that club too, where I got to see it but not ride it. It's always very sad to see a coaster come down.

God that coaster had some serious "bam bam" to end it. I miss it.
