Flying Scooter snapping advice.

Post by gforce1994 » Wed Apr 29, 2015 12:58 pm

Are there any hints at causing a snap while riding any flying scooter, regardless of manufacturer(Bisch-Rocco, Larson, etc...)?
I got told to rapidly change the aileron's direction at the apex of the top and bottom cycles of the swinging cycles. Is it really that simple, or does it need to be timed exactly?

Most parks don't allow snapping, it just depends on what park you go to

If you are at Knoebels just get a rhythm of going in and out and you will get some action. On new Flying Scooters you can try all you want but it is not going to happen.

Hopefully this helps.

That's pretty much it for the most part. And then you can get the best timing down with trial and error.

Basically just do want you can to gain as much speed as possible as you swing toward the structure.

And then there's Knoebel's Flyers...you just show up.

I'm not one for attempting to snap the cables on a Flying Scooter due to these rides freaking me out a little when it flies too high... but, the newer ones (like the one at Kentucky Kingdom) are near impossible to snap, no matter how hard anyone tries. On the opposite side of the spectrum, I unintentionally got the flying scooters installed this year at Kings Island to snap, scaring myself and the operators at the same time.
