What Will Be Your First Park Of 2015?

Enthusiast coaster & amusement park chatter about whatever. If it's not about coasters & parks, it'll go to the garbage file. Keep it on-topic and flame-retardant, please.

What Will Be Your First Park Of 2015?

Post by Paul Drabek » Sat Feb 07, 2015 10:46 pm

We are past the holidays and January is far behind us. We are all on the downward slope to the 2015 season so the question is where will be your first park visit of the year?

Sometime in April; probably during their World Fest Bond and I are going to take a coup,e of days and visit Silver Dollar City as Outlaw Run is calling us. I'm also going to see if we could get ahold of the new owner of the remains Dogpatch USA and see if we could take a tour.

Well technically I've already visited my first 2015 park since I was there for New Years, Busch Gardens Tampa.

Next visit will be Carowinds for Fury Media Day.

DRaven and I are hitting Dollywood on our way to Six Flags over georgia for Spring Fling. We've never been to either so we are both pretty excited!

First park of the year will definitely be SFGAdv, sometime in April. Besides my home park, though, I'm planning on a trip to Holiday World in late May so I can attend HoliWood Nights. It'll be my first trip to HW since 2013 and my first HoliWood Nights event, so I'm pretty excited!

My first park will likely be Adventureland here in Iowa.

SFOT opens in a few weeks, so thats my most likely destination for my first park this year. There is a chance work will force me to be in the Houston area, in which case I'll be visiting kemah boardwalk and Galveston pleasure pier regularly. Central Florida vacation in June, and likely a quick trip to Alabama for some rampage time in July or August .

Dave you will love Rampage as it is insane. Just remember SFOG and Lake Winnie are just a few hours away from there.

I like the way you think Paul! Unfortunately my work situation is very very fluid, so it's hard to plan multi day trips( the FL trip we're taking is during my only week of vacation this year). However, if I can get myself back on a job with set days off, SFOG will most definitely be added. Alabama splash vision adventure land is close enough that I can leave early in the morning, marathon rampage all day, and be back home at a decent hour, so not ouch advance planning is needed. I also completely forgot about lake Winnie being a days drive(ish) from me. If I can secure a few days off maybe a little "Dave's southern tour" is possible!
