Good Lord yes! At my work if we go more than three feet off of the ground we have to hook up our harness to a fall restrainer and we can just go up six feet. Normally there is enough so you can move around a bit so his fall restrainer should be hanging off and visible.

Yep, and hell yes. The opening sequence before the lift hill and the tunnel is the best part of the ride in my opinion. The ride is still pretty rough though, but I quite like it.
