Rumors SDC Is Tightening Outlaw Run's Restraints

Enthusiast coaster & amusement park chatter about whatever. If it's not about coasters & parks, it'll go to the garbage file. Keep it on-topic and flame-retardant, please.

Local Kroger stores have it here, usually on the very bottom shelf of the spice aisle.
Check their website for a list of stores that sell it - or order it online.

Seriously, you haven't lived till you sprinkle this stuff on a buttered ear of corn...

also great on popcorn, burgers, salads, french fries...
Thinkgeek.com has that and so much more... ;)

Screamscape now says that the restraint change is due to RMC spec changes:

http://www.screamscape.com/html/silver_dollar_city.htm

I was particularly interested in this paragraph:

If you do visit, look for the test seat before you ride. Several people reported last week that it may have been missing, but it is there now again. I’m told that they have an attendant over at the test seat recording some kind of measurement from the seat itself as well as asking for guests heights and taking some leg measurements on those who fail. It seems some of the issue with the new settings has seen some people not allowed to ride because their legs are not fitting under the shin-bar rather than having any problem with the lap bar itself. Again… looks like RMC really needs to address these problems, sooner than later.

The one thing I don't get is, what is the purpose of the shin guards anyway? Are they as useful as over the head restraints?

The Shin Guards are there because people with long legs could potentially have their feet/legs injured as the train executes it's corkscrew element.

The shin guards are there to lock you into the seat. With your legs and lap locked down you shouldn't go anywhere.
Life is short....have fun!

I saw that "Big Mike" on the TPR trip was able to fit in the trains yesterday. That makes me feel better. I don't know if Robb was able to ride again or not.

According to Screamscape, OutRun's restraints received a second modification just before TPR got there, which relaxed the restrictions to allow people with waistlines as large as 42" to ride.

That should allow a LOT more people to ride, I bet.

Maybe Robb paid them off so the TPR group could ride. :)
