No Kentucky Kingdom Next Year Or Possible After That!

Enthusiast coaster & amusement park chatter about whatever. If it's not about coasters & parks, it'll go to the garbage file. Keep it on-topic and flame-retardant, please.

No Kentucky Kingdom Next Year Or Possible After That!

Post by Paul Drabek » Fri Sep 30, 2011 4:56 pm

It looks like the fair board have decided to abandon any negotiations with Ed Heart and his Kentucky Kingdom Redevelopment Group so there will be no Kentucky Kingdom for the foreseeable future. From what I heard during the Six Flags years they had to pay at least a million a year in rent to the fair board. My guess is the fair board thinks of the park as a golden goose and are not willing to take less than what they want. So the park is going to sit idle for more years while the rides rust and rot making it even more expensive for any group to come in and open it up. Morons.

Have Fun

Another fair board kills a park (Bells) such a shame but unfortunatly most boards seem greedy.
