West Coasters WILL eat your soul

Enthusiast coaster & amusement park chatter about whatever. If it's not about coasters & parks, it'll go to the garbage file. Keep it on-topic and flame-retardant, please.

So Paul (Bratman) which seat were you in?

Invertago at CGA has been stuck for the past several hours and if you go now you can see live coverage of the EVac.

Sort of glad to hear you were okay then, since I heard a LOT of people got stranded in the sunny place. It must have been more than just one hot day - oh they need to say thanks to the water! "May water bless you, that's your lifesaver." Edited after Ken told me like this: Oops he is a ride operator....

Was going to make a new thread but I decided against that.
Two guests were smacked with debris after a cable came loose on the "Xcelerator" roller coaster at Knotts Berry Farm in Orange County, park officials confirmed Wednesday.

A 12-year-old boy suffered lacerations to the leg and a male adult complained of back pain, and both were sent to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.

A spokesman for the park confirmed that a cable came loose on the ride.
A video of the incident and more can be found at the link below

Yikes. In August I rode it in the seat the adult was sitting in. Nothing new though (except the freaky video) - Dragster's cable has broken too.

So who exactly supplies cable to Intamin?

You can blame me or any of the other ~50 people on the TPR trip, since we all rode Invertigo and Xcelerator. -Mike

Almost looks like something hit it from behind, maybe part of the launch mechanism or something. After the seat moves, you see smoke, and then the train stops. The guy sitting in the seat behind the kid could probably say more about what happened. -Mike
