What Coaster Are You Most Looking Forward To This Year?

Enthusiast coaster & amusement park chatter about whatever. If it's not about coasters & parks, it'll go to the garbage file. Keep it on-topic and flame-retardant, please.

What Coaster Are You Most Looking Forward To This Year?

Post by Paul Drabek » Tue Feb 10, 2009 2:30 pm

I'm most looking forward to finally riding the Coney Island Cyclone.

Following that I'm looking forward to hitting the River King Mine Train with Bond on SFStL's opening day as I hope that it finally gets him over the fear of coasters hump.

So what coaster, or coasters are you most looking forward to this year.

Have Fun

I was going to say I was looking forward to Flying Turns at the ACE event in May... but I just saw the notice on ACE's website that it will likely not be ready, due to some major structural changes that have to be made.

So... I would have to say Farenheit at Hershey in May...EK at SFSL in June, and Prowler at WOF in June.

I don't think I can score any sort of new rides as I just have to fly over the ocean, or get on a bus for a really long time like over 5 hours, just for all what I so would love to give some tries riding on. A LOT of rides on Kawasemi, that's all.

Amen to that! Diamondback is a close second for me though.

I'm looking forward to several coasters, but the coaster moment I'm most amped about is a backseat ride over hill #2 on D-back. If that hill doesn't make you scream with delight, you ain't got no soul.

This is a difficult decision for me, but as I have thought about it over the past few days I must say Manta! It mixes water and flying which are my two favorite things. Now, I just got to decide when I'm going to get down there.

Yesterday I saw its fancy trailer and thought as Manta would be truly gonna bring a ton of blasts. I would be totally wowed when the ride does get closer to the watery spot, like we can almost touch it, sticking our hands out SO badly. : )

Since I'm at Kings Island more than anywhere else except home and work, I'll have to say Diamondback. Phoenix a close second.

Greg...you'll have to let me know when you're planning to come. We can hang out!

(That goes for the rest of you too, if you head that direction!)

^ I saw a LOT of Diamondback photos, and felt like that biggie steel was truly going to
give us SO much airtime, plus a plenty of fun as the ride does make a pretty big splash
at a watery spot. Sort of like Nitro + Sheikra. : )
