Counting Down To Opening Day

Enthusiast coaster & amusement park chatter about whatever. If it's not about coasters & parks, it'll go to the garbage file. Keep it on-topic and flame-retardant, please.

^ It usually doesn't open till March, I think last year it opened the second weekend. I was thinking that it was still going to be cold but spring seems to around the corner with the flowers and trees blooming, and it being pretty warm this week.

For the coaster I have ridden more than any other, and the fact that this is my favorite picture of the season...

a little Beast told me to post this.

I don't think as the little Beast is just sort of a thrilling woodie, since I know that it has clearly got some arm choppers as the ride runs through the last tunnel.

One of the greatest woodie thrill.

^You're making me drool for what I can't have. Someday the Ozcat will ride again and I'll be there. I thought of saying the OzCat will rise again but our household is still adjusting to having a phoenix in the house. We're still working out the power of the name and using it sparingly.

ps: on an unrelated note, here's one of my favorite photos from last spring

^ Oh that's sort of reminded me of the day as you said like you were yanked out pretty much, when Medusa makes each loop in the intense run. One of your favolite steelie, already. : )

IndianaJoe gave me a call the other day from England and it was awesome to talk to him (I'm still chanting IU, IU, IU - Don't worry, Joe will get it). So today's photo is my favorite one of him. Yes, it's Joe after his extreme airtime moment on the Tornado at Strickers.

We miss you Joe!

Now that I think about it more, that does look more like what happens when people get off of Boss sometimes not Superman like I originally thought (though I do get ones that collapse after doing the same thing, and get back in line soon after).

That's not the expression of one hell of a ride. It's the expression of intense pain from getting racked from the airtime. Thankfully with the birth of Jacob we found out that the damage wasn't permanent.

Sorry 'bout that misinterpretation- it looked similar to when people get off S:TOP (our Intamin drop tower) out of breath from the intensity of it. I go over and check if they are alright and they walk away laughing once they catch their breath, often back to the entrance. Anyway glad he's alright.
Now that that SWA: "Wanna get away?" moment is dealt with,

*I'll be posting a few pics here from Training day once I have them (sometime early-mid March).*

I love getting rambled pretty much as I am riding on the woodie, since I know that it's
truly the best moment out for the greatest thrill, like I can get a feel of what it's like
to go through some incredible arm choppers, being shaken a lot in this way and that
way with some nasty head bangs around. : )

Yay, just booked hotel breakers for opening weekend!

If you book early enough, you can get a small room in the older section of the hotel.

Two nights, two starlight tickets, two full day tickets, 2 challenge park tickets, $30 in cedar point munch money, all for $270 including taxes....

Not too shabby for staying on property with tickets to the park
