Counting Down To Opening Day

Enthusiast coaster & amusement park chatter about whatever. If it's not about coasters & parks, it'll go to the garbage file. Keep it on-topic and flame-retardant, please.

It wouldn't be half so beautiful if it didn't have to be earthquake-proof. Those supports look so good!

^ I do love your comment. Props.

Well I would say like the person who built Mean Streak, actually built this truly pure white woodie, so that looks pretty big for one Japanese woodie, since Nagashima Spaland is not as big as those are in the US, but they truly gave the best shot to let the riders go with the shakey thrill. You'll be a hyper there. : )

Somehow I doubt I'll be standing in line behind these two girls this season.

I've seen that photo before and yeah the expressions are priceless. It reminds me of a Liberty Launch ride I once got. There was this big lady sitting next to me and as soon as we took off she let out a scream that put Fae Wray or Jamie Lee Curtis' screams to shame. Then she sank her nails into my arm until the ride was over and restraints released.

Here's a little Vortex for today.

I so would love to say, two girls, they did tell us what we should do on the roller coaster. I do love it when they have rolling eyes as it looks like they are truly screaming, plus are pretty terrified in the heart. I can't do like them if I even go on the greatest thrill ride on planet. Props to them. Enjoyed their show.

Cool Sunglasses. 8)

Here's Greg on Avalanche for todays picture.

We might be heading on up to Northern Wisconsin this summer for a weekend at a cabin with my family so maybe I'll have to stop by there for a quickie while on the way.

^ That was a magical day. Nothing like having an entire park with one kick ass coaster all to yourself! Go ahead and post a photo of yourself on Avalanche as well.

Ok.

I'd love to see rides like Avalanche and FEC's sprouting up all over the place as a coaster and some mini-golf would be a fantastic night out.

Here's a little Mystery Mine for 'ya.

Man I can't wait for opening day as I need a coaster ride. I need a coaster ride so much that if I had a bunch of extra cash I'd hop in the car and head to the Dells for a day of riding Opa!

Have Fun

One of the most extreme coasters anywhere, the Wild Mouse at Blackpool Pleasure Beach:

I took a much needed nap this afternoon and dreamt I was in a sitting area under El Toro waiting for the ride to open. I forgot my season pass, but managed to work that out with an employee, also under El Toro. Then just as the coaster opened, I woke up. A sure sign that I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms.

I took this picture from the sky way. A careful eye will spot the airtime hill diving over Rolling Thunder. There are also 4 coasters visible in this picture.

Here's one of the few Vekoma coasters that I actually like for today's pic. It's Ninja at SFOG.
