Doing Anything Different During The Offseason?

You can't talk coasters ALL the time. Here's the spot for everything else.

Doing Anything Different During The Offseason?

Post by Paul Drabek » Sat Dec 06, 2014 8:18 pm

With. I coaster trips or weekends at parks this time of the year I know many like myself have some extra time on their hands.

Instead of watching coaster videos on YouTube or standing outside the locked up parks looking mournfully for spring to arrive what are you going to do this off season?

For me I am learning to play the piano and read music and on the rare nice day I am going to head out to my side yard and swing my golf clubs in the hopes of improving my truly horrible short game.

Oh on playing the piano I a, really pleased with myself. I sat down and pulled "Blowin In The Wind" out of a songbook and figured it out in about ten minutes by sight. My problem is getting both hands doing something different and figuring out beats (I have little rhythm) which will take a little bit.

I am going to lay low for a couple months and save some money. We are going to Florida in March, which will cost us a bit. No Orlando, but we will be in Daytona for a couple of days, so I should have time to hit the beachfront park there.

The neighbour wants to do the bobsled at Olympic Park, so I'll be doing that in January.

(LOL at my Macbook's GPS knowing I'm in Canada and 'correcting' my spelling of "neighbor")

There is a large zip line park a few hours away that my wife wants to do, other than that we got nothing. Thankfully the offseason is relatively short here in the south!

There is a zip line park in Northern Wisconsin up in the woods that I am going to try sometime when we are up there.

Mostly I was working on building my new computer and starting up my YT channel. Actually takes a lot of time and dedication.

P.S. I know this is an old topic, just wanted to throw my 3 cents in here.
