An introduction...

You can't talk coasters ALL the time. Here's the spot for everything else.

An introduction...

Postby Dark_Star » Tue Jun 16, 2009 6:15 pm

Well, since I am new on these forums, I thought I'd give a brief (Well as brief as I can )

I have been into various PC simulations (Primarily flight, train & Racing).

I also happen to love roller coasters. I remember going to Astroworld (Now closed) here in Houston, Texas and riding my first coaster (Which was Viper at the time), then moving on to the "Texas Cyclone", then "Taz Texas Tornado" and finally culminating in "Greezed Lighting".

My first roller coaster PC simulation was Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. While it was enjoyable (Still have/play it off and on), it was missing a certain something.

I then came across "No Limits". I tried the demo and loved it, I ended up getting it as a gift for my birthday and the rest they say is history :D

I think that is about it...If you want to know anything else about me, just ask and if its not too personal, I will answer ;)

Welcome! Judging from your username, you're a deadhead. If that's the case we have more in common than coasters!

Peace,

Greg

I plan on it once I find some tutorials on how to use the editor...I am already cooking up a roller coaster in my mind..once I learn the editor, it shall be unleashed to the No Limits masses ;)

Haven't had the time to sit down and play around with the editor.

While on the subject of tutorials, anyone know where I can find one for the NL editor?

Hey Darstar

Welcome to the -G Forums. What part of Houston are you from? I lived on the west side in the late 80's and went to Stratford HS and spent an insane amount of time at AW.

About a NL tutorials never really helped me out that much but playing around with it or downloading other tracks and seeing how others did their rides helped me figure it out.

I look forward to hearing more from you and seeing some of your creations.

Oh, Greg's definition of a Deadhead is a fan of the Grateful Dead as he's the forums head Deadhead and Dylan fanatic.

Have Fun

Paul

Actually I live in the Northwest part of Harris County, WELL outside the city limits. I live not far from Cypress/Klein, if you know where that is.

For me, I learn hands on. I have to do things to get the hang of it and not just observe.

Sorry, not a Grateful Dead fan...so that is one thing less in common I have with Greg (No offense intended).
