It's not sounding like such a freak accident - some of the rumors say the ride could have been being run in maintenance mode, which would disable the blocking system, allowing the collision.

If that's true, then it is greivous operator or maintenance error, and the remaining question would be why did the empty train stall?

I agree Mike there has to be a whole lot more to this story than has come out.
