Dreamvision Texas/Alabama Theme Parks

Post by Paul Drabek » Mon Feb 09, 2015 10:04 pm

There was a weird announcement today for Dreamvision Park somewhere around Fort Worth, Texas. Here is the announcement video:

Supposedly this park in Texas is going to cost something like 3.5 BILLION.

While I'd like to see it happen having heard numerous park proposals over the last twenty years (Entercitement in Indy, Earth Quest in Houston, Main Street USA in Michigan, The Land of Oz in Kansas and so on and so on) I'll believe this when they actually open a park. Money is quite hard to come by and 3.5 billion for one park (they are going to announce Alabama on Wednesday) and proposing a second that will cost almost that much it is not going to happen.

What do you all think?

Local news seems to be a skeptical as we are. I don't believe this is happening at all. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.

It is good to see that we aren't the only skeptical ones.

The "artist renderings" look like they were created by a third-grade art class. 100% joke - at least we can get some humor out of it!

Now, as much as I would love for these to happen, I think the odds are extremely low. There are still tons of details that have not been released, and the local media is really questioning it.

I do know that if they open, I'm visiting around opening because who knows how long before they go bankrupt.

Not sure why I couldn't get the video imbedded, but here is a direct link.

I totally agree with you. If they beat the odds and actually open up I want to do a quick Texas/Alabama trip to score the credits before the place goes all "Hard Rock Park".

Sure seems like it. Itd be neat if it was real. Speaking of which did the Houston park ever get off the ground or was that bunk as well?

Grand Texas was supposed to open its water park this year and then theme park next year. As we speak there is no water park construction yet so this one might be dead on arrival as well.

Well the news today is that Dreamvision's website is expired and the company officers have all gone to ground. My guess is this was a scam and they had a huge announcement, raised a few million and headed for the Bahamas.
