A little bird told me that HW will be getting a Mack launched coaster like Blue Fire at Europa Park.

Awesome! I hope it fits the theme and doesn't change the area too terribly much. I have yet to see the park, but judging by trip reports, I am not sure if I like the idea of a steel roller coaster at HW.

Sounds like a game-changer for Holiday World, that's for sure.

I really don't see it fitting in Thanksgiving. There would be two main coasters in an area that is kind of bare. I don't know though.

Oh they can theme it to the ships, if it's dueling it could be on the ships, or something generic to Thanksgiving as well.

If Holiday World does 1 thing exceptionally well, it is themeing and rides. And you need to talk your dad into taking you to Holiday World Spencerman. It's one of my favorite parks.

SFNE just announced that the Riverside Cyclone is going to "retire" on July 20th. I'd put cash that Rocky Mountain is going to bring some thrill back to that neutered and over braked ride.

I went yesterday and loved it. But I think it'd be weird to have two big roller coasters in an area with only a few rides. (Then again, look at Halloween.)

As for the Cyclone, I think that's a cool way to make a classic famous again.

SFOT has temporarily closed Roaring Rapids and drained the retaining pond, posting a sign saying there's going to be a "spectacular new attraction for 2015". The pond sits immediately behind the closed Adventure Theater (old motion theater), which has a sign saying "pardon our progress" on the fence around it.
Concrete supports are already in place in the drained pond, apparently of the type necessary to extend the theater building well out over the water.

Some kind of dark ride, maybe?

It would be interesting seeing SF add a new dark ride. A well themed Texas/cowboy shoot me up would be pretty sweet there.

an SFOT employee on Facebook said, "it won't be a coaster, but I can't say anything else right now"

OK, the SFOT thing is almost certainly a dark ride of some kind. Whether or not it's interactive, I don't know yet. Can't really say more.

SFFT, on the other hand, is getting really bizarre.

Things we know for sure:

1. It will be an "industry first" attraction
2. It will be in Rockville, which is getting a renovation of some kind
3. The pool ball-themed teacup ride as well as the Motorama car ride are closing after this year
4. There are orange survey flags near the train tracks close to the car ride
5. SFFT tweeted a closed shop in Rockville with a phone number on the for sale sign in the window. 210-697-5478
6. If you call the number, you hear Jeffrey Siebert as a Rockville Realtor talking about the rejuvenation of Rockville. He mentions "thrilling new challenge" and "history in the making" and says they're partnered with "ACE and Associates" - and he tagged ACE in the tweet.
7. They launched a balloon shaped like a light bulb with "2015" on the side. It's tied to a lamp in the car ride queue. Jeffrey tweeted a pic of it, stating that is was flying at "92.5 ft"
8. Most recent tweet shows yet another Rockville store closed and for sale. The caption says that the rejuvenation is hitting snags because of snake problems and they should call MK Bozer.

At first, I thought MK Bozer was just Martin Bozer, the park president. Then I remembered that in Iron Rattler's queue line, there's a pickup truck from MK Bozer Snake Wrangling Co. A phone number on the side of the truck would play a funny advertisement from the fake snake company... until today. Now, if you

9. call the number on the Bozer truck in Iron Rattler's queue (210-697-5476) you hear old man Bozer talking about having just returned from Goliath at SFGAm and Medusa at SFMex and cleaning up their problems, but now Rockville has a snake infestation and "people are running over them at the Motorama ride" and they're needed over in Rockville.

I'd say that the clues pointing to another RMC coaster are WAY too obvious. Red herrings, for sure.

10. Apparently, the ride itself won't be that different from what's out there already, but it will be from a new player to the game. This was a comment from someone who apparently knows what it will be.

Maybe this will be what Skyline Attractions (former GCI designers) will be announcing some time in August?
