Dollywood 2014

Post by Vonni » Sun Mar 24, 2013 11:44 pm

Dollywood has began thier 2014 attraction teasers. A large banner in front Adventure Mountain, which is in the process of being demolished, reads "Coming in 2014 the next BIG adventure.... It'll be a BLAST!" Some enthusiasts are speculating it could be something like Powderkeg at SDC. Thoughts?

I'd like to believe a new coaster, and I hate to see a unique attraction like that go away. :(

Hopefully there's a reason they kept the queue and the drive box for Timber Tower. I'm hoping eventually they'll put in a BIG drop ride.

A lot of nothing. I posted everything I knew. :)

No one down here cares that much about what circulates, and I doubt they're prowling around the forums, so I just posted it if I found out. lol

According to Screamscape, the 2014 attraction is confirmed to be a coaster. Just not sure what kind yet. But it is confirmed it is not a Mack.

I want a launched Rocky Mountain looping woodie. That would certainly get the worlds attention.

A wooden coaster that's actually a wooden coaster would be better. :)

I'd settle for another GCI lol! Those are some of the best coasters I've been on! (granted I've only been on two)

I am predicting a family coaster. Nothing too huge right after Wild Eagle.

No one seems to understand that Dollywood did not expect Wild Eagle to be the success that it was. The park has operated at a loss since 2008. They will not be putting in another major ride so soon after the single largest investment in the park's history. A family coaster is a possibility, but it certainly will not be anything large like Outlaw Run.

I trust Screamscape's "confirmation" about as far as I can throw it. This is the same site that claimed last week that yellow supports had been confirmed to be on site ... until I pointed out that those were the supports for the structures in Camp Teach-It-To-Me and lower supports of Adventure Mountain.
Current coaster count: 304
