A Quick SFGAM Fright Fest Trip Report

Post by Paul Drabek » Tue Oct 09, 2012 6:55 pm

Hey everyone;

On Saturday Bond and myself joined up with my Mom, Sister, Niece, fellow enthusiast George Hinkes, his daughter Katie (who by coincidence is a classmate to my Niece), Johnnny.Ink, Draven and Draven's Mom for a day of rides and frights.

Of course I'm going to do a full update (probably up this weekend if I can but no later than next weekend) but here are a few highlights.

King Kong has taken residence at the top of the Sky Trek Tower.

We got my niece on her first wooden coaster which was Viper. She is extremely nervous about coasters so that was it but she liked Viper and didn't throw up like she had predicted.

We saw Love at First Fright and it was a fun little show.

Bond finally got over his fear of haunted houses and really had a lot of fun getting scared and figuring out where the monsters were going to jump out from.

We did all of the haunts and Massacre Medical Center was by far the best. Just make sure to watch out for the plant. ;-)

There was a great little cemetery for all of SFGAM's dearly departed rides.

The Eagle was running AMAZING and I got the best ride I have ever had. There was no trim coming out of the helix and good Lord we got airtime on the return run.

It was a fun day and a great way to probably end our coaster season. Oh well the end of January isn't that far away.

Have Fun

Pictures aren't showing up, Paul :(

I found out recently that "King Kong"s name is Larry

No Whizzer

Let me know if you plan to come the next two weekends at all. I got so much of the park this past Sunday - got there just as the rain stopped and was able to get double rides on everything. (X-Flight had a one train wait for the front row <for those of you who love X-Flight>).

I wonder why the park is open Thursday, Oct 25!? Probably a non-promoted (gonna be dead - pun intended) day to go!

Hummm...I don't know why they aren't showing up now. Oh well I'll have the regular update up with those pictures hopefully by Saturday.

Nope no more park visits this year as the off season has officially began....thankfully it'll be short as we start riding the last week of January in Florida. ;-)

Have Fun

Yeah Paul, it was definitely fun. Always cool to hang and especially have everyone do the haunts. Not a bad way to do those huh? :D

Actually, the more I look at it, I think your timezone is an hour earlier than mine... wierd.

You can set that in your board preferences.
