Although I should really stop linking old videos of old coasters on youtube, this one is special to me: it was the only Fred Church coaster ever built in England. Belle Vue was a theme park and Zoological Gardens in Manchester, and the Bobs existed as its primary rollercoaster from 1929 to 1970. The park closed for good a few years later, probably as a result of demolishing the Bobs. According to "Harry G. Traver: Legends of Terror" It is generally agreed to be the best rollercoaster ever operated in the U.K. It held two records: World's fastest rollercoaster (62 mph) and the ride endurance record by Vance Tutton (shown riding and drinking tea in the video). The film includes a full POV ride showing just how rough and thrilling it was.
