Re: Splashin' Safari 6/5/13

There will always be people that think every coaster is rough. Voyage is running extremely well this year, but it's more intense than some will prefer is all. I found all three of the coasters to be running in tip top shape this year. I'm also one of the few that aren't as into changing to the Timbe...

Re: SFStL Boomerang media day TR

I could spend a few hours showing crews how to fill up trains and get them out on time (all while letting people pick their seats, NOT by assigning seats), and do a good job doing it. Filling a train is harder than you think, I work at Batman at SFSTL and noticed most people line up for the front l...

Re: Michigan's Adventure rumors/possibilities

Johnny - 1. Thunderhawk is a GREAT ride for what it is, and definitely the best of its kind. I've said that for years. 2. The "janky" (lol) right left spot on the way back on Shivering Timbers is what is referred to as a trick track. Most of the wooden coasters with those have had them reprofiled, s...

Re: Cedar Point...Help

I remember getting discounted tickets from Meijer in Sandusky at one point or another. Call them and see first. Also, I'd check the online price and see if it's cheaper. I know that Kings Island's gate price is significantly more than the online price. Not to say CP is the same, but it's worth a shot.

Jack Daniels sponsoring the new food court. Mr. Six can be holding a bottle and pretending to be having a good time.

Re: The Boss Redone Rocky Mountain Style...What would you do

Here's what I would do - re-track as needed using traditional wooden coaster tracking and keep it exactly the way it is. You asked. :) ;)

...also, I'm not convinced that I won't consider Outlaw Run a hybrid coaster due to its non-traditional track.

Re: Kokomos TR and future trip

Hopefully you enjoyed The Serpent! I always enjoyed it when I was growing up. The last time I rode it was in 2002 during the last season of Americana/LeSourdsville Lake. I've never ridden it at Kokomos, but I certainly remember the ride fondly. :)

Hopefully RMC stays as far away from The Boss as possible. Traditional wooden coaster track only!

Re: TR Silver Dollar City Sunday April 21

Yes, it would! How'd you guess. Roughly 32 seconds from over the lift to the brakes. GREAT ride while you're on it, but very short. It was actually supposed to make a left turn instead of a right at the end, go through a corkscrew-type inversion, turn around, and go through another corkscrew back th...

The Boss - interesting choice. My personal favorite at SFSL, but not many seem to feel as I do.

Re: TR Silver Dollar City Sunday April 21

Just be glad Voyage doesn't have those restraints then. Some of the HW ride-ops give new meaning to the word stapled. (Like the one that Kat made unlock the restraints when we both very loudly said OUCH when she checked our lap bar.) I can't imagine something that would beat Voyage for intensity. At...

Not to mention the park has had a lot to overcome to get back on track anyway. Of course it would be the stupid government getting in the way.
