Me too...but I hope I'm still riding the coasters. :)

Re: Best Photos of 2015

For some reason, I always seem to have "that one" that stands out to me, but I know what you mean. Here's my favorite that I've ever taken. I love the willow branches.

Re: Best Photos of 2015

Doesn't it?

The most impressive thing about this photo is that it's a cell phone pic. Who'd a thunkit?

Re: LeSourdsville Lake/Americana Tribute

Thanks!!! I'm having a blast making them, so it's wonderful to hear that others are enjoying them. Thanks for subscribing! The next one is The Beast, and it is taking half of forever just to sort through all my photos. I have about 500 of them. (Working there two seasons helped.)

Since it feels like there needs to be more chatter going on here, how about posting your favorite photo of 2015? It seems like a fun way to get rid of this off season quicker. Here's mine from last year.

You'll enjoy it! Especially if you like launches.

Fall at Dollywood is a great time to go! It's beautifully deserted in September and October.

Re: Holiday World Renovates the Legend

So many are. There is someone - I can't for the life of me remember who - that counts both sides of Racer, plus an additional credit for backward, along with SOB pre-loop and post-loop removal. I think 5 credits for two coasters might be a bit much. :) That said, I do count each side of Racer as a c...

Re: Orlando Parks

In a word, no. I've spent some time at most of them, and there are still things I'd love to do more thoroughly. I wouldn't miss Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios. It was fighting for a spot in my top ten steel this year. It didn't make the list, but was sure fighting hard. I also highly reco...

Lakeside Park - Dayton

Here is a link to episode 2, Lakeside Then and Now. I went to the site of the now long-gone Lakeside Park in Dayton, Ohio. It's a city park now, though it seemed like the police were wondering what the hell I was taking pictures of. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8trtH5xtqA As always, if you have ...

LeSourdsville Lake/Americana Tribute

Off season blues were getting the better of me this year. I have been really enjoying making a video series, which several of you have probably seen on my Facebook. Here is the one I made of LeSourdsville Lake/Americana, so I thought I'd share it here so you can enjoy it as well. I'll share episode ...

Re: Holiday World Renovates the Legend

My big question is should we count The Legend 2.0 as a new credit? I just want them to replace the top level of steel at the bottom of the dip that goes into the helix as it has been rough as hell for a decade. Whenever they have replaced wood there they always put the steel back when that is the p...

Re: Kings Island-Kentucky Kingdom-Holiday World

Since the closure, I have only been to KK for a short time, and it was the day before they reopened for the first time as a part of ACE's spring conference, so I'm no help whatsoever on that one. (That said, I'll remind you that Thunder Run only has one train, so it's miserable if it develops a line...

Re: Dollywood 2016 - Lightning Rod

Kat and I should be there for opening day! This will be my first RMC. As an avid wooden coaster fan, and considering how many wood coasters they have turned to steel, they're going to have to do some work to impress me. Anyone else going for opening?
