Re: A Shake-Up In The Coaster World

Wow, I can't wait to hear what they announce in August! That is a lot of talent behind this.

Re: No Coaster Con

Wow, Six Flags Great America is the largest minimum wage employer in Illinois. I'm not sure that is something to brag about.

Re: Six Flags over Georgia-Spring Break Crowd?

Spring Fling does sound fun. I don't think that fits into our calendar though. Spring Break for us is early April. :(

Six Flags over Georgia-Spring Break Crowd?

Does anyone have experience with Six Flags over Georgia during Spring Break? I see they are open the first week of April and am considering a trip there. I'm curious if the crowds are crazy. We could always get a Flash Pass too.

Bluegrass Boardwalk Done

Well, that was quick.

I'm bummed by this. I really don't see anyone else stepping in to take this on.

Re: The End of Son of Beast

I think they could recoup the demolition costs by selling chunks of the ride. I'd buy a couple to burn in my backyard. :)

Re: Ed Heart On Bluegrass Boardwalk

I'm not sure who had the bigger chip on their shoulder: the reporter or Ed Hart.

I'm optimistic about Bluegrass Boardwalk. Water parks draw in locals which helps with attendance. Thrill rides make people travel. Some combination of both would be best. It will take time though.

The thing I really liked about Mamba was the helix. I still don't know how the train fits through the supports!

Re: You know what I miss ...

Canada's Wonderland has a great clone of King Cobra. It really took me back. I was shocked how much it reminded me of King Cobra. Even the station is the same.
