Venom

An arrow looper I made. 140 ft drop, top speed 64 mph. 6 Inversions. 1 Vertical loop. 2 Sidewinders (My attempt at a Vekoma butterfly loop) and a Triple Corkscrew. The brake run goes under one of the corkscrews. Enjoy! http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/486211_492550910758273_1244412953_n.jp...

Re: The Common factor game...

Close enough Paul, I was thinking first inversion was a cobra roll. Your turn!

The Common factor game...

Just thought I would start a different kind of game for us to participate in. I'll name a couple of coasters, and you tell me what their common factor is. Whoever gets it right posts the next.

Here goes:
Jokers Jinx
Boomerang (any of them)
Robin (The Chiller)

Re: Apocalypse

I'm glad someone else likes it.. Honestly, I tend to like some of the ones that people deem too rough. I like Shock Wave at KD and I love Mind Eraser and Batwing at SFA as well. I can deal with some light headbanging, honestly if you hold your head to one side it's not too bad. I do agree that the o...

Re: Just wanted to say Hi...

Welcome to the board. It's a great group of people here. A group I really hope to meet in person some day. Since I don't get to travel much, hopefully some of these guys will give SFA a 2nd chance lol.

Phantasm ... a B&M Floorless

I was kinda inspired by the Superman Krypton coaster in Texas with the use of the limestone cliffs. This is also the first floorless coaster I have completed. Top speed, 70 mph. Height 190 ft. Contains a Loop, a rollover, interlocking corkscrews, a barrel roll and 2 helices. Enjoy! http://sphotos.xx...

Re: Apocalypse

I enjoyed the ride. I didn't think it was anywhere near as rough as people make it out to be... Especially compared to an old arrow or boomerang... or even Roar at SFA (Which is almost un-rideable this season)

Prayers, Good Vibes, etc...

First off, this isn't some sad news... I'm asking for prayers, good vibes, best wishes, what have you for a goal I have set for myself... well, a few goals actually. The first I've already done, since January I have lost just over 30 lbs, so on my way to getting in shape. I also took the first step ...

Apocalypse

In case anyone cares or misses Iron Wolf, I took some pics of Apocalypse while at SFA on Friday. While I'm happy that we're finally getting a new coaster, at the risk of sounding ungrateful, I will saythis. After 10 years with no new coasters, and losing one in that time frame, you would think we co...

Have you ever???

So Friday was a first for me... my first solo theme park visit.. I kinda had it last year, but ended up making some new friends very quickly and had riding partners for the day. Friday however, I went solo the whole day. I went to SFA, mainly to get my pass processed, and wasn't planning on staying ...

Wendigo.... It took long enough!!!!

So there's a story behind this one... This coaster has gone through a lot of modifications to finally get to a finished product that I was happy with. It started out a steel terrain coaster with inversions, then I converted it to a non inversion steel terrain... Something still didn't make me happy....
