Six Flags St. Louis
Eureka, Missouri
Opening Weekend
April 2 & 3, 2010
Page One
After a very cold and very snowy winter it was nice to finally be able
to head to a park so that we could feel the sun on our faces and
the wind fly through our hair (or what little I have left) as we ride
coasters. Unfortunately for us, not Six Flags St. Louis we weren't
the only ones wanting to enjoy the sunny and warm spring day at Six
Flags St. Louis as thousands of other people showed up to ride as well.
Normally, even on slightly busy days you have to wait a few minutes in
line to get into the parking lot but this time every lane was full with
packed cars and it took us about twenty minutes just to get into the
parking lot. Thankfully we had already acquired our passes so
instead of waiting in another long line for tickets or to buy our passes
we eventually made it through the gates to where we were supposed to
wait up for a few friends from the
Negative-G Forums.
Mike, otherwise known as "Illinois" on the Forums and Greg otherwise
known on the forums as "Greg" were to meet up with us. We ran into
Mike and then spotted Greg who was stuck in the insanely long line to
purchase his season pass.
Greg was going to be quite a while so we were off to Batman to start out
the season. On the way we spotted this change. This plaza
used to have a big building for caricature artists but for some reason
it was removed in the off season. We did notice a lot of little
infrastructure improvements around the park like some new paint, new
stands and they even redid the parking lot.
