With two years since my last visit to
Six Flags St. Louis and having planned a day trip to Branson the next
day with my friend Greg We sped over to Six Flags St. Louis for a couple
of hours. The big thing I wanted to see was how the park had
changed under Six Flags new ownership.
While I'd hate to have the job of
sitting up there in the hot July sun it was a pleasant surprise to see
security out there watching the parking lot. Since they no longer run the trams
Six Flags might as well give you something in return for the $10 it costs to park
there.
This was also a pleasant thing to see.
I guess a certain little amusement park that went smoke free has started
a much needed trend in the amusement park industry. Now if they'd
only start offering free soft drinks with admission I'd be really happy.
I really like most of the Six
Flags parks but the extreme mismanagement by the previous board had me
more than a bit cynical that the chain could be turned around. I
have to say that at least at Six Flags St. Louis there is a new attitude
that I haven't experienced in decades. Yes, they actually act like
they care about their customers.
