Six Flags St. Louis Eureka, Missouri April 18, 2004 Page Two
As most coaster enthusiasts know Batman: The Ride is an inverted rollercoaster that was created by Bollinger and Mabilard. The design is extremely compact and has a very twisted layout due to it being copied from the first Batman at Six Flags Great America which was located on such a very small plot of land that they had to almost use a shoehorn to squeeze the coaster onto.
Batman's second inversion the "Zero G" roll will give the sensation of weightless for a fraction of a second.
Due to Batman's compact layout the back half of the ride is a twisted knot of track that includes several corkscrew loops.
My only problem with Batman is that there really isn't anywhere for you to catch your breath. It's just boom, boom, boom one intense element after another. By the time you get off you feel like you've just gone ten rounds in the ring with Mike Tyson, except he hasn't bit your ear off.
