Mr. Freeze was built in 1997 but unfortunately due to technical issues did not open until 1998.  It took a little while to work the kinks out of the launch system.  After being blasted from 0 to 70MPH in just four seconds you are shot up into the "top hat" inversion which is just wonderful.

Coming down from the top hat you head back up into the sky for a quick inverting turn.  I think the park needs to trim some of the bushes back from the ride because I ended up catching a branch and some leaves that joined me for a ride.

Up to this year Mr. Freeze was an ok to bad ride because of it's trains.  It had shoulder harnesses and because of them there was a ton of head banging especially going backwards through the course, it was painful.  I guess the park listened to the complaints and replaced the shoulder harnesses with lap bars and now it's one of the best coasters out there.  Going in reverse through the top hat without a shoulder harness is great...especially in the front seat as the ground goes away from you as you go up.
